Pure Cashmere Taupe Cable Knit Poncho – made from pure cashmere, this gorgeous cable knit poncho is the most versatile and luxurious throw-on for this season. An effortless alternative to a coat on milder days, and a sophisticated cosy cover-up when it turns super-chilly.
We love this over leggings and a comfy long sleeved top. Pretty details make all the difference on this classic design – a cable knit helps to create a more structured shape, and side splits allow total freedom of movement.

Organic and sustainable
Hircus Cashmere, established in 1948, is one of the world’s original cashmere producers. Each cashmere poncho is made from the finest yarn from the Ladakh Himalaya region (recognised as the world’s highest quality). Their cashmere comes from a special bread of goat known as Capra Hircus which lives at an altitude of 12000 to 14000 ft.
Cashmere is the goat’s soft, downy undercoat, grown to its maximum length by mid-winter and shed in early Spring. Any goat can grow cashmere, but those we call “cashmere goats” have been selectively bred to produce it in significant amounts. In the spring the goat no longer needs its fine fleecy undercoat to protect it’s self from the harsh winter conditions. At that time the cashmere is harvested by combing the fibre away from the goat, combing doesn’t harm the animal in any way.
